Our favorite streaming tool turns 7 today, and we typically use this chance to share all sorts of exciting updates, surprises, and Sound Alerts lore with you. Read on to explore what the near future of Sound Alerts has in store for you!
Sound Alerts on your Elgato Stream Deck
This feature has been the most requested update to Sound Alerts on our list, and we can finally confirm that we are actively working on an implementation as we speak. With Elgato Stream Deck and Sound Alerts enabled you can control your alert preferences with the press of a button. This process will include pausing stream alerts, switching profiles, changing your alert volume, and actual soundboard functionalities, allowing you to activate your alerts instantly to support your best streaming moments. While it is hard to tell when we will release the first Beta, we aim to have something ready this year!
Evolving the Twitch Extension with Trending & Popular Alerts
Many of you wish to make it easier to keep the sound and video selection in your Twitch Extension more up-to-date with recent memes. Because of that, we are currently focusing on a new Extension tab that you can manually activate. This tab lets your viewers pick alerts from the most popular and trending media in our Library in addition to your pre-selected alerts. The feature will reduce the manual maintenance you and your mods need to keep your alerts fresh and let you focus on what you do best — streaming! We are aiming to ship this feature in 2025 as well!

The list of feature updates does not end here — there are a few things in early development that many of you will enjoy. There is no ETA for these yet, as we just want to give you an outlook on what you can expect from us:
- More interactive streaming widgets and overlays like Bingo or Wheel of Fortune
- More Chatbot features, including giveaways and loyalty points
- An overhaul of our Animation portfolio, which will come with an increased variety of stream animations and designs
- Various Tipping improvements that allow better fees and easier payouts
- Some secrets we do not want to share just yet
Phenomenal Sound Alerts Milestones
Thanks to all of you out there, we reached some fantastic milestones this year. 2024/2025 resulted in much growth for our tools on different ends — mainly because we diversified our features to more than just typical stream alerts.
