After many months of tinkering and testing, we can finally launch our Sound Alert Tipping Page beta and enable PayPal alerts with all the alert types you know and love! Let us tell you all the details in this announcement blog post!
The quick Rundown
Just like we announced in our Anniversary Update earlier this year, we can finally unveil the first phase of our Tipping Page launch with the new PayPal alerts:
- Opt-in to the Beta and activate Tipping on your Sound Alerts account here and using the Connect button for PayPal.
- Connect your PayPal account via the Dashboard in a few simple steps.
- Set up your very own Tipping Page with all our alert features (Media alerts, TTS, Video Share, Random alerts, and more).
- Include your Tipping Page link in your stream bio and Chatbot messages, and you are ready to accept tips via Sound Alerts.
Your viewers will be able to use PayPal or their credit cards to activate the alerts via your page.
About the Sound Alerts Tipping Page
Our new Tipping Page feature is a new way to use Sound Alerts across all streaming platforms. Imagine it as your web hub for your favorite alerts, which your viewers can use to send you tips and engage with your content no matter where they watch it.
While we launch the first phase of the Tipping Page exclusively with Paypal, there are many plans to enhance the Tipping Page for you and your viewers even further. The key features of the Tipping Page beta include:
- Customize and set up your own Tipping Page link (soundalerts.com/YourChannelName).
- Add all the alert types you want, including Text-to-Speech, Video Share, Media, or random alerts.
- Customize the pricing of your alerts and let your viewers send them your way via PayPal or their credit cards.
- We do not apply any additional fees to your PayPal Tipping alerts — you only have to pay the standard PayPal transaction fees.
- The Tipping page is compatible with your standard Sound Alerts browser source — no need to change your setup!
The Tipping page will allow you to present your alerts to a broader audience by increasing their accessibility. Make sure to include a visible Tipping CTA (Call to Action) in your panels and socials to increase the visibility of your new home for streaming tips!
